Viktor Gyokeres scored twice as EPL leaders Arsenal recorded a comfortable 3-0 win over Sunderland at the Emirates.

It allowed the Gunners to open up a nine-point lead over second-placed Man City- who will face Liverpool early tomorrow morning.

In other selected results…Man United made it four wins in a row under Michael Carrick after beating Tottenham 2-0.

Aston Villa were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth.

Chelsea defeated Wolves 3-1.

While Brentford edged past Newcastle 3-2.

Over in La Liga…Barcelona moved four points clear at the top of the standings after a 3-0 win over Mallorca.

Elsewhere, third-placed Napoli needed an injury-time penalty to beat Genoa 3-2…to stay within six points of Serie A leaders Inter.

Back home, in Malaysia Cup action…Kuching City recorded a 3-1 win over DPMM in the first leg of their quarterfinal tie.
